Prayers (Salah) Namaz
What is Salah?
(Namaz kya hai?)
Salah (Salat) is one of the five pillars of Islam, and it refers to the mandatory prayers that Muslims perform five times a day.
Salah is a direct communication with Allah, & it is considered one of the most important forms of worship in Islam. The five daily prayers are performed at specific times of the day, which are dawn (Fajr), noon (Dhuhr), mid-afternoon (Asr), sunset (Maghrib), & night (Isha).
During Salah, Muslims perform a series of physical and spiritual actions, including standing, bowing, prostrating, and reciting verses from the Quran. The prayers are performed facing the Kaaba in Mecca, which is the holiest site in Islam.
The purpose of Salah is to maintain a strong connection with Allah, seek forgiveness for sins, and gain spiritual purification. It also serves as a reminder of the Muslim's obligations to Allah and the importance of faith in their daily lives.
Salah (jise Namaz bhi kaha jata hai) Islam ke paanch sutoon mein se ek hai, jo Musalman paanch baar rozana ada karte hain.

It was narrated from Umm Salamah that when the Prophet (ﷺ) performed the Subh (morning prayer), while he said the Salam, he would say:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا وَعَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلاً
Allahumma inni as’aluka ‘ilman nafi’an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa ‘amalan mutaqabbalan

Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Adha
(Eidein)
Ramzan sharif ke baad jo Eid aati hai, use Eid ul-Fitr kehte hain aur Dhul Hijja ki dasvi (10) tareekh ko jo Eid aati hai, use Eid ul-Adha kehte hain. In dono Eid ki namaz wajib hai aur in ka waqt suraj ke acchi tarah nikalne ke baad shuru hota hai aur zawal aftaab tak rehta hai.
After the holy month of Ramadan, the celebration known as Eid ul-Fitr takes place, and on the 10th of Dhul Hijja, another Eid known as Eid ul-Adha is celebrated. Both of these Eids have obligatory prayers associated with them. The timing for these prayers starts after the sun has risen sufficiently and continues until midday. Those individuals who are obligated to perform the Juma'a (Friday) prayer and meet its requirements should also offer the Eid prayers. However, in the Eid prayers, the sermon (khutba) is delivered after the prayer, unlike the Friday prayer where the sermon is delivered before the prayer. It is obligatory to listen to the sermon of Eid, similar to the obligation of listening to the Friday sermon.

Method of Eid Prayers
(Eidein ki namaz ka tarika)
Eid ki namaz do rak'atein hai. Inn dono namazon ke liye adhan ya koi aur takbeer ada nahi ki jati hai. Eid ki namaz ada karne ka tareeqa is tarah hai:
Qibla ki taraf munh karke khade ho jayein aur Eid ki namaz ki niyyat karein.
Haath jod kar takbeer tehrima kahein (haath uthakar Allahu Akbar kehna).
Sanaa (Subhanaka Allahumma...) ko khamoshi se padhein.
Dono haath kaan tak utha kar Allahu Akbar kahein aur phir unhein seene par rakhein, dahine haath baaye haath par.
Takbeer dobara padhein aur haath kaan tak utha kar Allahu Akbar kahein, phir unhein side par chhod dein.
Teesri baar takbeer padhein, haath kaan tak uthayein aur Allahu Akbar kahein, phir unhein pehle jaise bandh lein.
Iske baad Imam qirat padhenge.
Imam ke saath chalein aur Allahu Akbar kehte hue Ruku mein jayein aur pehli rak'at ke baaki hisse ko mukammal karein.
Pehli rak'at mukammal karne ke baad dusri rak'at ke liye khade ho jayein aur Imam dobara qirat shuru karenge.
Ruku mein jane se pehle khade reh kar teen takbeerain pehle ki tarah kahein, haath kaan tak utha kar Allahu Akbar kehte hue, phir unhein side par chhod dein.
Teen takbeerain padhne ke baad, bina haath uthaye hue takbeer padhkar Ruku mein jayein.
Takbeeron ko mukammal karne ke baad, Imam ke tariqe par chalein aur namaz ki baaki rak'at mukammal karein.
Namaz ke baad Tashahhud ke liye baith jayein aur salaam ko dahine aur baye taraf padhein.
Aakhir mein, namaz mukammal hone ke baad dua karein.
The prayer of Eid consists of two units (raka'at). For both of these prayers, there is no adhan (call to prayer) or additional takbeer (saying Allahu Akbar) recited. The method of performing the Eid prayer is as follows:
Stand facing the Qibla and make the intention for the Eid prayer.
Join your hands, saying takbeer tehrima (saying Allahu Akbar while raising your hands).
Recite the Sanaa (Subhanaka Allahumma...) silently.
Raise both hands up to the level of the ears, saying Allahu Akbar, and then place the hands on the chest, right hand over the left.
Repeat the takbeer and raise the hands to the ears again, saying Allahu Akbar, and then let them drop to the sides.
Repeat the takbeer for the third time, raise the hands to the ears, saying Allahu Akbar, and then fold them back as before.
After this, the Imam will recite the Quranic recitation (qirat).
Follow the Imam and say Allahu Akbar while going into the Ruku (bowing) position, and complete the rest of the first unit.
After the first unit, stand up for the second unit, and the Imam will begin the recitation again.
Before going into Ruku, raise both hands to the ears, saying Allahu Akbar, and then drop them to the sides.
Repeat the takbeer three times, raising the hands to the ears and saying Allahu Akbar each time, and then go into Ruku.
After completing the takbeers, follow the Imam's actions and complete the remaining unit of prayer.
After the prayer, sit for the Tashahhud and say the salaam to the right and left.
Finally, make dua (supplication) after completing the prayer.
