Islamic Upbringing
Farz - Allah ta-aala ke hukm ko farz kehte hai, Agar ibadat me farz chhut jaye to ibadat puri nahi hoti. (The command of Allah is called Farz and it is mandatory. If the Farz is not performed during worship, then the worship is considered incomplete.)
Wajib - Wo amal jo zaroori hai, aur farz ke baad wajib ka martaba aata hai. (After Farz, the action that holds significant importance is called Wajib and it is also obligatory.)
Sunnat - Wo amal jisko Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam ne kiya ho ya hame karne ka hukm diya ho. (The deeds or actions that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) performed or instructed us to do)
Nafil - Wo amal jiske karne me sawaab hai, aur chhodne me azaab bhi nahi hai. (An act that brings rewards when performed but does not incur any punishment if not done.)
Haraam - Wo amal hai jise har-giz nahi karna chahiye, jise karne ki ijazat mazhabe islaam me bilkul bhi nahi hai. (It is an act that is completely forbidden and not allowed in the religion of Islam.)
Halaal - Wo amal hai, jise karne ki ijazat islaam me hai. (It is an act that is allowed in Islam)
Mustahab - Wo amal hai, jiske karne me sawaab hai, aur na karne me gunaah bhi nahi hai. (It is an action that brings rewards when performed, but there is no wrongdoing or sin if it is not done.)
Makrooh - Wo amal hai, jo Allah ta aala ko na pasand hai. (It is the deed, which is not liked by Allah Ta'ala)
